This beautiful little university town is almost 750 years old (in 2013) and has a lot to offer to it’s inhabitants as well as it’s visitors. Of course it is well known for it’s prominent role in the Dutch memorial day and liberation day celebrations. It is beautifully situated on the river Rhine, surrounded by a variety of natural areas. The town itself offers many bars and pubs, restaurants, a theatre and a cinema.
